The Typo

The Typo is the rarest version of the English Imperial B typewriter. Manufactured for the French market by the Francaise d´Armes et Cycles de Sanint-Etienne company. The most important feature of this typewriter is its raised curved keyboard somewhat similar to the old British Salter and North typewriters.

The keyboard stands out for the space bar that is held by two bars that follow the shape of the keyboard and give it the appearance of floating. The bars with the characters are hidden in the central tower and make an up and down movement to print on the paper, so its striking system is different from most machines.
